About Unit 3 - Human Rights & Social Justice

Our third unit has showed up in front of my eyes. It's titled "How We Organize Ourselves". This unit is not about how to organize our clothes, or our bed, and etc, it's about social justice and human rights. It's about how the organization help them and everything else about organization. If you don't know what human rights and social justice means, i'll tell you. Social justice means the fairness or law for everyone in the world. Human rights means the basic rights and freedom for all human to have. Our massive summative task is to make an organization with our group. My group is filled with 4 (including me) strong big men, Dennis, Philip, and Antonio. Our group must make an organization, we'll sell brochures and give our best power point presentation. Our group must accomplish these points:

  • Name for our organization

  • Developed vision and mission

  • Values statement

  • Organization's structure

  • How it is Financed

  • Our target

  • The activities to help the target

  • Resources needed to help the target

  • Pictures

This task has been flying around my brain which creates a topic which makes me exceeedingly curious of what to do about it. The one topic is child soldiers. My organization is focusing on reducing child soldiers. We (as in the memebers of the organization) feels really sorry for the kids in Latin America, Iraq, Iran, Greece, Turkey,United Kingdom, Sri Lanka, Burma, Phillipines, Indonesia, Singapore, and Africa. The kids their are being treated not well, they have been in the army. The kids there are not educated and that they treat a gun as their toy. The International Alliance helps to reduce this issue. We will make a video of why we should stop child soldier.

There was also a distraction on the way to accomplishing our organization. It wasn't exactly a distraction but a task that is also due. The genesis of this unit was started by a field trip to a Non-Governmental organization. My NGO is called YSKK that stands for Yayasan Sosial Karya Kasih. YSKK helps the elders and also uneducated childrens. We had to take notes in our field trips because we'll make a report about the NGO we went to. Then our group must make a power point presentation. Our group must share to the class of what we learned and what we got in the field trip. The field trip was really useful for us because we'll need some of the information to complete our summative task.

Before we started our unit, we had 3 Deep Thought Provoking Questions or the Ib call it Lines of Inquiry. Our school made 3 of its own for our unit right now. We, as in 6B, must make our own Lines of Inquiry. I have 3 new lines of inquiry which is:

  1. Does Indonesia do something to help the child soldiers in the whole world? How?

  2. The Government system and structure in Africa

  3. Crisis prevention and recovery in Africa

Do Hard Things-Chapter 5-That First Scary Step

Chapter 5

TS The Bible verses used in this chapter are 3 Bible verses. One of them is 2 Timothy 1:7; it says “God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love, and of self-discipline” (NIV). SS That verse means that we have to use the spirits god give us. It also says that the bad spirits doesn’t come from God, but from the devil. The second Bible verse is in Hebrews 11:6. It says that “Without faith it is impossible to please God”. SS That verse means that we must have a strong faith, relationship with God. And it also means that without faith, we can’t please Him. EX. For example William Wilberforce, he had a really strong faith that he spoke to all people in the ship about God. William wasn’t afraid because he had a really strong faith in God. The third Bible verse is Proverbs 24:16. It says, for though a righteous man falls seven times, he rises again, but the wicked are brought down by the calamity. SS That verse means that we must be righteous and not wicked. If we are righteous, even though we fail, we still can rise again.

1st Zone

TS One of the zones is that God works through our weaknesses to accomplish His plans. SS This means that God not only use the best, smartest, etc, but God uses everybody. God works his big plan from our weaknesses. There are many examples of people who God used from their weaknesses; one of them is Smith Wigglesworth. EX. Smith wasn’t a smart student when he was young. Smith started to read until he was an adult. That looks impossible for God to use because what can Smith do? But with God, nothing is impossible. Now, Smith is one of the best Evangelists in England. Smith has lead thousands of people to Christ. 2nd example is Karen Kovaka. Karen was really afraid to talk to other people and always cries if she shook a stranger’s hand. She never comes out underneath her bed because she’s too shy. Now Karen, the shy girl, is already a Community for Christ. She tells people how to overcome her fears.

2nd Zone

TS One of the zones the twins are describing is Courage is Not the Absence of Fear.
SS This means that we cannot let fear take over us. We must beat our fears to grow and learn for the rest of our lives. There are 2 examples of a story of beating our fears. EX. Betsy was in a cafeteria. There she heard her friends talking about pregnancy. God wants Betsy to reach out to her but Betsy was afraid. Finally she regrets what the Lord had said to her. Another story is Grace. Grace wanted to tell the gospel to everyone she met in the park, she already promised God. But when she saw many workers in the park, Grace was afraid. But Grace still talk to the workers and she could enjoy lemonade with them.

3rd Zone

TS This last zone is brought up with a title or main point which is You Can’t Get to Success Without Risking Failure. SS It means that it can’t be successful all the time. Like winning, we like winning but we can’t always win. I’ll give you an example of a boy who never gives up but finally ended up in successful. 14 year old Caleb made his bedroom a music room. He practiced using all the equipments about 70 times and failed. But now he already can use all the equipments and he and his friends have made 2 songs made in 3 months.

TS My life could look different if God overcame my fears. There are many ways I can to explain in more details. It can be different because I wouldn’t be afraid to preach. If I’m not afraid to preach, I could be a young priest. I have an example of this discussion. EX. There is a young kid in the NTT (Nusa Tenggara Timor) who is already preaching many people In the village. He is still 10 years old. I could look weird because I would preach adults and adults will learn from a kid.

TS My life would be different because if I maximize myself I could be famous. I could be famous because maybe I could be in a military when I’m still 11 years old. If I step out from my comfort zones, I could be rich and maybe I won’t be in Jakarta and Mr. P will be able to see me in the TV or hear my voice in the radio. I could rarely go to school due to the works I have for the job I’m doing. It could be different because I would be like an adult doing adult stuff. Even though I’m still a kid, I could be in big meetings. I could also meet famous people and the president if possible.

DO HARD THINGS Summary

Chapter 3

Chapter 3 of Do Hard Things is a really good chapter. But sometimes i don't unsertand some phrases and i have to re-read it. Some of the parts in chapter 3 is boring, example is page 26-28. It is boring for me. There are some opinions i have for this chapter. One of them is in page 26, the first question in the first paragraph, it says,"Do you know anyone who owns a elephant?" Actually there's no problem to say that but it's weird for me. The next opinion is on page 28, the second paragraph. It says about dreaming to own an elephant, I have a question for that, is an elephant expensive, what's the price of one elephant?

My next question is on, still, page 28, 3rd paragraph where it says about attaching a ropw to a wooden post and the other end on the elephant's right hind leg. Why must it be the right hind leg. On page 29 also says about having MySpace or Facebook. What about the people that doesn't have facebook? I have more questions but I'll just comment on one more. On page 41, paragraph 3. That is unappropriate for me.

I feel that chapter 3 is a really good chapter. Especially when it talks about 3 kids, George, David, and Clara. The story was really cool when a teen could do impossible things. I feel that this book is helping us in many kinds of ways. But in Indonesia, everything else is defferent. On page 38, paragraph 2, it says what preteens are expected to do. One of them is clean your room every week, in Indonesia we have maids.

Chapter 4

Chapter 4 has many inputs on a better way. The subtitle was quite weird, not really on topic. Even though, the inputs are exceedingly useful for our lifes. It also talks about the future. The future is really bright but God can come anytime. So from this point on, we must trust in God, have faith, etc. In some of the pages, it says things. In school, we're taught not to say things too much because it's not good.

I feel that this chapter is good. It supports us to really do hard things. It makes us more confident and have a stronger faith in christ.

DO HARD THINGS Summary

Chapter 1

I felt quite bored at the first chapter. There wasn’t anything I liked in this novel. The first chapter is full of boring pages (in my point of view.) But they are exceedingly wise for us to apply in our lives. After I read this chapter I felt that these 2 boys are exceedingly wise. I feel that God wants us to take a stand in trying new, impossible things. I feel these twins are inordinately blessed by God. I feel that now a day teenagers are profoundly wrong. They are supposed to take a stand and not take drugs.

What I dislike about this chapter is that it’s quite boring for me. Instead of that, there is nothing else bad about this book. The good thing I like about his chapter is that it gives us great wisdom about what teens should be in their perspective. One of the wisdom they gave us is that we must take stand. This book tells us to try impossible things. The twins can prove that they can do it in a young age. These twins have been having conferences with parents at the US. They already can do this in still a very young age. I like this chapter because they give examples like monks. Monks always choose the hardest decision even though they don’t like it. This chapter tells us to step out of our comfort zones and start to do really hard things.

Chapter 2

I felt not bored in this chapter because it’s getting better than the 1st chapter. I felt that God is forcing us to take a stand. I feel that I must change into a better young adult like these guys. I feel that having a blog after all isn’t so bad. I felt that I will make a new blog that tells God’s word and there will be so many comments. Then, I can get them to help me make a book. I feel that we are honoring God every day, in everything we do. For the bad thing, I felt that I’m lazy to make a book. But with God, nothing is impossible.

The bad point about this chapter is that they talked about pressure in one of the pages. Sometimes when teens go to pressure, they think of suicide, drugs, alcohol, and other bad stuff. This chapter should be alert to tell in the chapter about not doing these kinds of things when facing pressure. The good point of this chapter is that they are forcing us to change. They made a blog called rebelution. The combination of rebel and revolution. This chapter tells us that God is always with us. God helps us in every situation we are in. Even though it’s impossible, God will still be with us.

Alex Rider: Skeleton Key

So Alex jumped over the wave and the man in the jetski couldn't make it. Alex was profoundly ecstatic. He was as jubilant as a small boy who got the World's coolest toy. But when Alex reached the coast, an MI6 agent was waiting for him. Alex then have to go to MI6. Alan Blunt told Alex that a Chinese triad had been chasing him for what happened in Wimbledon. MI6 will take care of that. In the other hand, MI6 wants Alex for another mission. This time it's in aprivate island near Cuba. It's called Cayo Esquelato, or Skeleton Key. This mission isn't MI6's mission but the CIA's. The CIA will team-up their 2 agents with Alex. The next day, the 3 of them will be disguised as one family. When they were having lunch, one of the CIA agent, Turner, went to a boat to get to someone's party. Troy, Turner's partner was so worried about Turner, so Alex went inside the boat. He set a fire outside the boat to get the guard's attention. Then he went inside the boat because evereyone was immensely busy outside. Alex saw Turner being wrapped in a chair. Alex un-wrapped Turner. Then a man came inside. Alex used his handphone that can shoot knock-out darts. Alex aimed it at the man and the man was drugged. Turner and Alex jumped out of the boat and swam away. They were safe.

(summary) Alex Rider: SKELETON KEY

This week I read a new Alex rider series that is : Skeleton Key. My aimis to read the whole Alex Rider series. I've read Stormbreaker, Point Blanc, Scorpio and now I am reading Skeleton Key. I think I've read quite a lot this week. I read 1 chapter everyday. Skeleton Key is an island near Cuba. It is a private island, in the other hand, the island is very beautiful and many tourists like to visit the place. Only some parts are forbidden for tourists to visit. Alex was waching his friends playing tennis. Alex was part of the team. After the game was done, an MI6 agent, Mr. Crawford. Mr. Crawford offered Alex to be ballboy at the match tomorrow. Alex accepted the offer. The next day, after the 1st match Alex had a break. He drank for a while and he was exceedingly curious at someone. Alex was as curious as James Bond. So, Alex purposely hit the guy's hand and the handphone fell down. The guy looked immensely crossed. Alex tooj his phone and the an snatched it from Alex. The man was a horrendous monster when he snatched his handphone from Alex. Alex felt more curious, so he followed the man. The man lead Alex to a loading bay. The man knew Alex was following, and Alex knew that he's one of the gang because of what he saw yesterday. The man tried to kill Alex by using a transportation to hit him. Alex jumped and the transportation was stuck in the wall. The man jumped down and fought with Alex. He was uncharacteristically fast. Alex took a fire extinguisher and spray it on his eyes. Then he smack the man's head with it. Alex opened a refrigerator and lay the man inside. Alex locked the doors and he set the temperature to the coldest. The next week, Alex went to Cornwall with Sabina ( and Sabina's parents). When they went surfing, there was a man in black on a jetski following Alex. Alex was inordinately scared. He was as scared as a man who will get to be executed. Alex thinks it's one of the gang, they want revenge of what happened last week!

Weekly Reflection

This week was a really great week. I felt exceedingly jubilant because there was plethora of fun activities I did this week. We also had 2 test on Friday. 1 is about energy. The other one is an english test. Both of them were quite hard. But the hardest of all is the english test because I didn't practice a lot. We also got our rubrics back. Then we showed it to our parents. The parents will discuss it to the teacher at PTC. Also, i will have a Christmas concert. I will be playing piano. The song i'm playing is Hark the Heralds. I love the song! I also had a soccer tournament. My team didn't make it. Even though we lost, we still tried our best.

Alex Rider: SCORPIA Summary

The siberian tiger walked to Alex with his shining claws as shining as a star. Alex was exceedingly petrified as a young boy a horror movie. At the desk there was an remote control, but Alex didn't mind. Alex right away jumped to the desk and crouch under it. The siberian tiger jumped on top of the desk. Alex was as horrified as the citizens who were about to get hit by the eiffel tower (in the movie GI Joe). The siberian tiger was shouting and screaming, "I'm gonna eat you English boy!" when he jumped to the desk. Then someone came. He quickly grabbed the remote on the desk and used it. Suddenly the tiger went to sleep again. Alex fought with the man because the man didn't recognize Alex. Finally Alex was kicked out, out of the enormous palace. The man was a dinosaur when he kicked Alex out of the palace. Alex felt as mournful as a man who had lost his parents. Alex felt sullen because he couldn't know more about Scorpia, and that he was hurt badly, he was not wearing any sandals or shoes, and Alex doesn't know what to do now. So he went to the train station to get back to London. There, he met Tom and told Tom what had happened after all. Alex went with Tom to depart to Naples to meet Tom's brother. When they arrived, Alex and Tom went to Tom's brother's house, his brother is Jerry. Alex told Jerry that he was a spy. Then Alex wanted to proceed to Consanto Enterprises. He saw the name on the desk where he fought with the tiger. The next morning, Jerry send Alex to Consanto Enterprises. There were alarms and CCTV cameras all over the place. So, Alex had to do BASE jump from the other side to Consanto Enterprises. We actually must learn BASE jump first before we do it. Jerry gave Alex all the equipments needed to do a BASE jump. Alex was inordinately scared as a man who was dropped from a cliff. Alex was a still statue when Alex jump. Alex was safe! If he missed the landing, Alex would die. Even though he was safe, all the equipments were destroyed. He didn't do a really great job on the landing part.

Alex Rider: SCORPIA Summary

Even though Alex was horrified as going to a lion's prey, Alex still went in the house ( palace). Alex saw plethora of workers inside the palace. They were designing hte house, putting furniture, cleaning the floor, wiping all the whole house. Alex was curious about it.
So Alex asked one of the workers. The worker talked in his won language before Alex asked his question. So Alex asked anothe worker. Alex asked," What's scorpia?" The worker stared at Alex, then turned his face away. Alex was daunted as my sister when she was about to get her stiches in her head. Alex felt that there was something wrong about scorpia. So Alex asked another worker. This time the worker is a she. Alex asked the same question. Before she answered, Alex was already as terror-stricken as a mouse that is looking at a cat. Then the woman answered, "Are you english?" Alex said,"yes." The woman told Alex that there will be a party tonight. So, Alex went to meet Tom, Alex's best friend. Alex told Tom that he works for MI6. Tom was immensely surprised by the words that come out from Alex's mouth. At night, Alex and Tom hid behind the bushes at the palace. They both were wearing their best. They also brought special paint to cover their entire body. Alex used gold paint to cover his whole body. After that, Tom went home using the emergency exit doors because he was petrified. So Alex went to the main door. When it was his turn to come inside, Alex was exceedingly ecstatic as a person that recovers from cancer. But then, the security asked for the invitation, Alex was as horrified as Makaela (transformers) when she was face to face with Megatron. Another security came and took Alex downstairs. It was like a jail. After an hour, the jail was filled with green to black water. Alex escaped the jail by going to a tunnel he found on the jail. He went inside but it end up un a exceedingly voluminous sea of those water. Alex was searching for an open air where he could breathe. Finally he got up to a land. He was exceedingly jubilant. When he got to a room, there was a siberian tiger. Alex was immensely daunted as the humans which were about to be killed by the decepticons!

Grade 6 Retreat

This week was such a fun weeek. We had only 2 days of school and the rest was the retreat. On Monday we had fun activities and it's just a normal day. And on Tuesday I was really happy because the next day will be the retreat day. I had to pack-up my clothes on that day. I also had soccer on Tuesday. It was very fun. I was exceedingly not patient to go to Lembah Hijau. Below are 3 paragraphs about the retreat. The 1st paragraph is about the fun things I liked about the retreat. The 2nd paragraph is about the things I learned in the retreat. And the last paragraph is about who I influenced.

On Wednesday, grade 6 had a retreat to Puncak, Lembah Hijau. The trip was only for 2 nights. It wasn't so long. We departed on Wednesday and returned on Friday. There were a lot of activities we did in our retreat. There were 6 sessions in our retreat. What we do in our sessions is that we praise and worship God, and we also hear the knowleadge about Christ from Mr. Rob. I enjoyed many things in the retreat. I really enjoyed the talent night. It was such a voluminous surprise when my teacher, Mr. P, danced at the show. He was exceedingly great. He's a pro at dancing. He was also immensely great at being a host. I also enjoyed swimming at Lembah Hijau. The water was profoundly cold. I was freezing when I swam. Even though it was cold I still enjoyed it. When we were about to finish swimming, there was a great, daft rain. It was exceedingly deranged. So, we have to run in the rain to our bungalows. I didn't actually run because I enjoyed the rain. It was so cold, I loved it. The last thing I enjoyed was sports activities. I played badminton in the sports activity. I played with everyone of them and they all couldn't beat me. I'm serious! I played with the supervisor, pak Wisnu. He's an adult, so he has a really strong power. I gave him some net ball and he couldn't hit the shuttlecock back to me. It was his weakness.

What I learned in the retreat is that God is an awesome God. I learned that God is wonderful. Our retreat shirt has a picture of an anchor and the verse Hebrews 6:19a. The anchor symbolizes that God is our anchor. I learned that we must be patient. We must also have faith in our Lord, God. I learned that we cannot put our trust or faith or hope in anything else instead of God. We cannot give up. I learned that God is our anchor, everybodie's anchor. He helps us where ever we are. God is all powerful, God has always lived, God is everywhere, God has no sin, and that God loves me, and you. I learn that we must tell the gospel. And to share the gospel or good news, we, oursleves must be good news. We must give good example. I learned that God always forgive our sins. But, God doesn't want us to do the sin again.

At school we must influence 3 people at least. It can be anytime. I influenced 3 people that is Hans, Michael, and Alden. I influence Hans to be more closer to God. What I did is, i gave Hans a magazine about God and wisdom. I bought the magazine at my church. I influence Michael so that he won't say bad languages. I told Michael not to say the words. For Alden, I influence him so that he could get closer to God. I gave some good examples, like saying praise the Lord, and other statements that refers to God.
To conclude, I really enjoyed the retreat. God touched my heart so that an turn back to Him. I learned many thing throughout the retreat. I really enjoyed the sessions we had. We can praise the Lord and also hear his words. It was such fun! The activities was also realle great. I will never forget this retreat!

Alex Rider: SCORPIA Summary

This week I read a book called SCORPIA. An Alex Rider adventure. This is the summary of what I read. SCORPIA is Alex Rider's 5th mission. At EAGLE STRIKE, Alex Rider's 4th mission, Yassen Gengrovich told Alex to go to Venice, find Scorpia, and Alex will find his destiny. Alex went to school. He was exceedingly happy as getting millions of money because his school will have a trip to Venice. The trip will be for 4 nights. It has been three nights there. Alex hasn't found anything yet about Scorpia. Alex was profoundly sullen because he has waisted money to go to Venice and didn't get anything. Alex abhor learning. The next morning, the school will return to London at night. When Alex was going to a museum, he saw a silver scorpion on a gondola. Alex became immensely curious. He thinks that it will lead him to Scorpia. So Alex told the teacher that he wanted to go to the toilet. Actually he went chasing for the gondola. Alex kept on running. Tom, his friend was watching Alex. He was starring at Alex like a lion starring at his prey. Alex kept on running, he was actually profoundly tired. There was a lady sitting, with her legs crossed sitting at the gondola with the silver scorpion. Alex right away knew that she must be one of Scorpia. The lady was starring at Alex. Alex become exceedingly daunted. Alex was as daunted as a little boy that is going to be a lion's prey. Finally the gondola stopped at a enormous house. But I call it a palace. Alex stopped. He didn't want to come inside the palace. Alex was petrified.

Weekly Reflection

This week was such a surprise. After I came back from London, I went to school and I got copious of homework. I did some assessments at London to. But not all. I tried my best to finish all of my homework. There was also an assignment due on Friday. I was exceedingly unhappy. We had to make a movie. Of course, using movie maker. The movie must be about energy. To be specific, renewable and non renewable energy. We must put details about the 2 types of energy. Then we have to present it to the whole class. Some of the students did the presentation on Monday and some will do it tomorrow. I did mines on Friday. We also had a Bible test. We are to memorize the 8 statements and the map of Israel. Also a letter for God about the peer pressure we're facing. The test wasn't a really BIG test. But the score will be print on our semester report. The test was held for 30 minutes altogether (i think). I really enjoyed the week even though there were many tasks to do.

Week 6 Reflection

Last week was a daft week. It was also a exciting week. I was exceedingly ecstatic. I had to finish my summative task 3 and 4. It was really fun. I presented my summative in a booklet. I also did an ICAS test for English and also Math. The test were quite hard. I had multitudinous of homework. I also had after school practices. On Saturday I had a friendly match with Ghandi School. I played badminton and also soccer. I had such a great time there. I enjoyed last week because I could learn lots of things that i haven't know yet.

ERL Summary: Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader

Lucy and Edmund left their two siblings. Lucy and Edmund are going to their cousin's house. Lucy and Edmund were profoundly sullen because they hate their cousin. Edmund and Lucy kept on talking about Narnia when they reached the house. Their cousin's house was as voluminous as a soccer field. Their cousin didn't think that Narnia was actually real. So Lucy brought her cousin to Narnia. There, Lucy went in a ship with Caspian's team.

Week 5 Reflection

Last week was a such a daft week. There were copious of homework. There were Math homework, English homework, Bahasa homework, and UOI homework. Last week our assignment are due. The assignment is about conception to birth. We have to explain the details of us inside our mother's womb. From 1-9 months. First I made the draft. It wasn't really good. Then I made the final draft last week. I made it in a booklet. Instead of homework, I got sick for 2 days. I got fever. I didn't go to to school on Monday and Tuesday. I got plethora of homework. I was inordinately sullen because I don't understand how to do my homework. Fortunately my teacher emailed me about the homework. I was exceedingly ecstatic. Even though last week I got many homework, it's still exciting.

Alex Rider: POINT BLANK

This week I read an Alex Rider adventure book. I finished the whole book. The book was very cool. The following is the summary of the exciting pages I read last week:

One day, Alex went to Dr. Hugo's office. He saw Dr. Hugo's assisstance shot by him. Alex spied on Dr. Hugo. Alex went through Dr. Hugo's file and now he know that Dr. Hugo is a senile man because Dr. Hugo is the guy who killed Michael. J Roscoe, the tenth richest man in the world. Dr. Hugo is as mean as a lion. He's a assassin. Alex was very jubilant because his job is done. He knew who Dr. Hugo is. Alex went ot his room and took his gadget that is a discman. If he press fast forward three times, MI6 will come help him. So he did. When he was waiting MI6 to come Dr. Hugo told the whole school that Alex was a spy. Alex knew what that means. It means that Dr. Hugo will kill Alex. When the guards was chasing Alex, Wolf, a spy from MI6 came, Alex was exceedingly elated. Alex took his earpiece amd it turned into a mini grenade and Alex threw it to the guards. Wolf helped by shooting the guards using hi-teched bow. Finally they got Dr. Hugo and he was caught and dealed by MI6. MI6 is uncharacteristically proud of Alex Rider. This story book is almost the same like the James Bond's movies.

Martha's Life

In school, our teacher told us to make a short story using the 10 words we learned.

The following is my story i made:

Martha, with a strong-willed character, has been facing many problems. After her husband was sentenced for six years in jail for assassination, her family fell apart. Martha's also facing other problems like her son's academic grade is getting worse. Martha has been trying to expunge Paul's bad habit of staying up late with his friends. Martha hopes that Paul will bond again with his family again. One Sunday Martha's friend invited Martha to her church. There, the pastor talked about the description of perseverance. The pastor also talked about being patient through suffering. One day Martha went to the prison to meet her husband that she had experience somethig great with God. She told her husband that we have to rejoice in hope. Martha hopes that Paul will be touched by the word of God. Paul saw how hard his mother worked for him. Finally he realizes. Paul worked really hard and he had an achieb\vement at school. Martha was proud and she had thanked God that God had done mant miracles for her. God is always with us, he will guide us at hardship and lead us to a better path.

Making a Cell

In school we are learning about cells, there are 3 different kinds of cells. There is animal cell, plant cell, and prokarytiotic cell. Our teacher told us to make one of those cell. I chose to make a animal cell. We have to make a cell that is edible. We cannot make it using other stuff. The following are the things I used to make a animal cell:

  • Orange skin: Cell Membrane

  • Grape: Nucleus

  • Chocolate: Golgi Apparatus

  • Fruit snacks: Smooth Endoplasmic Reticulum

  • Sweets: Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum

  • Grape skin: Mitochondria

  • Orange: Cytoplasm

  • Candies: Peroxisome and Lysosome

The following are informations about these organelles:

  • Nucleus: DNA replication and transcription of RNA

Oral Presentation

Today I will be talking about how technology and sports influence me positively, and how my friends influence me negatively. Technology can be described as machines, tools or resources that help me finish my tasks. One of them is the internet. Sport makes me healthier and makes my body more in shape. One of them is to exercise or play any kinds of sport. Hanging out with wrong friends is exactly like throwing ourselves into a lion's den. Bad friends make me bully others. Next, I will discuss more about technology.

For this first influence, I will explain how technology changes me positively. With technology, life is the same as counting numbers from 1-10. For example, Microsoft Word can make me type up information easily and neatly. Now I will show a picture of modern technology. Microsoft Word is not the only technology that influences me, but also movies. Today many well- known producers do not only create action movies, but also inspirational, spiritual, educational and life-changing movies. Inspirational and life- changing movies change the way I think, and help me to be more optimistic. Spiritual movies strengthen my faith, especially when I am going through many difficulties. Educational movies teach me and shares new knowledge that I can make use of. After this I will talk about how sports influence me positively.

For this second influence, I will talk about how sports influence me positively. Practicing sports makes my body healthier. Any kinds of sport can affect our physical development. For example, if you play basketball, you can grow taller, and become physically fit. Also, playing sports help me become relaxes and relieved because I shake off all my energy and thoughts into the activity I'm doing. One of the many sports that have influenced me is badminton. I like to play and practice badminton with my dad every Saturday. I also have badminton lessons. Playing badminton makes me have fun. Soccer is also another type of sport that shakes off all my thoughts. I like to play soccer, collect soccer jerseys and soccer shoes. I also watch soccer matches on television. Sometimes I play soccer with my cousin. Lastly, I will talk about how my friends influence me negatively.

In this final influence, I will talk about how my friends change me in a negative way. Some of my friends are kind and encouraging. Some of my other friends are mean and likes to say rude words. We have to choose the right friends. Choosing a friend is like a road that goes two ways, one way goes to the right direction while the other goes to the wrong direction. Friends influence me negatively by many ways. First example would be bullying. My friends like to make me bully other people. Second example would be bad languages. My friends teach me inappropriate words, that I must not follow. Now I will conclude this presentation.

To conclude, there are so many things in life that can influence us positively and negatively previously. I described sports and technology as positive influences, and friends as negative influences. As we grow older, we must be wise and cautious in making good decisions, and to avoid bad influences in our life.
